California Faces Increased Workers’ Comp Rates
Workers’ compensation rates could be increasing in California. The Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau has advised a 23.7% increase in rates for employers.
California employers currently pay $2.25 per $100 of payroll, but that could go up to $2.78 with this increase. While this is far from the $6.45 of 2003, it could still mean shutting down for businesses that are having trouble staying afloat in this economy.
