UWM basketball player arrested for DUI

Posted on August 17th, 2011 No Comments

A University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee point guard was arrested last week in  Cedar Rapids after he attempted to run away from police. Officers say that he was pulled over last Wednesday for not having a front license plate, but then took off when an officer approached his car. They pursued his car until he ran off the road and he took off on foot. He was found two blocks away and then arrested.

The 22 year-old student had a blood alcohol level of 0.228, nearly three times the legal limit of 0.08. He has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a license plate, driving without insurance, and interference.
