North Carolina Workers’ Comp Payments May Be Capped
The North Carolina House is considering putting limits on workers’ compensation benefits. A current proposal would cut off payments six years after workers turn 65 unless they are approved for lifetime benefits.
The hope of the proposal is to cut down on fraudulent claims and to keep North Carolina low-cost place in the areas of living and doing business. Legislation like this could spread if it does well.
