Can you receive workers' compensation benefits after you've left your job?

Some people who receive workers' compensation benefits are not able to return to their job. They are unable to return for a number of reasons, including their injury from the job may prevent them going back to work.

When this occurs, the former employee will likely be able to continue receiving workers' compensation benefits. However, if the employee is able to return to work but chooses to quit anyway, then the employee may not be able to claim the benefits.

If you or anyone you know has questions about their workers' compensation benefits, contact the Des Moines workers' compensation benefits of LaMarca Law Group, P.C., at 877-327-2600.
