Woman sues Wal-Mart for slip-and-fall accident
A Louisiana woman is suing a Morgan City Wal-Mart after she slipped and fell on a substance left on the floor. The woman filed a personal injury lawsuit and claims she sustained a compression fracture on her neck, several bruises, and lacerations due to the fall. She is suing the corporation for $75,000 in damages which includes medical expenses, disability, distress, mental anguish, loss of service, loss of society, pain and suffering, personal injuries, loss of enjoyment of life, loss of consortium, court costs, and interest.
Wal-Mart is accused of failing to to use warning signs, negligence, failing to inspect the premises, creating a risk for injury, slipping and falling hazard, allowing a dangerous condition to go uncorrected by employees, failing to train and supervise employees, and creating a dangerous condition to exit the store.
