Small business owners expect workers safety issues will get their attention this year

A survey conducted by small business insurance specialist Employers has found that most small business owners think they will be spending much of their time dealing with workplace safety issues in 2014.

In the online report released Monday, February 17, 35% of employers stated that they believe they will be addressing workplace safety risk more than any other business risks, such as professional liability, natural disasters and cyber security. The survey further revealad that 4 of 5 respondents believe they are not that ready to face common workplace safety issues, such as fires, explosions, trips, and falls.

The survey involved 502 small businesses with 100 employees or less.
