A Louisiana woman is suing a Morgan City Wal-Mart after she slipped and fell on a substance left on the floor. The woman filed a personal injury lawsuit and claims she sustained a compression fracture on her neck, several bruises, and lacerations due to the fall. She is suing the corporation for $75,000 in damages which includes medical expenses, disability, distress, mental anguish, loss of service, loss of society, pain and suffering, personal injuries, loss of enjoyment of life, loss of consortium, court costs, and interest.
Wal-Mart is accused of failing to to use warning signs, negligence, failing to inspect the premises, creating a risk for injury, slipping and falling hazard, allowing a dangerous condition to go uncorrected by employees, failing to train and supervise employees, and creating a dangerous condition to exit the store.

A 60-year-old construction worker from Portsmouth, New Hampshire was seriously injured last Friday when he fell from a platform and hit his head on concrete.
The accident happened at around 8:30 a.m. The man was working on a platform that was suspended six feet above the ground. The man somehow fell off the platform and onto the concrete ground where he hit his head. EMTs were called to the scene and transported the man to Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
The man is said to be doing well in recovery from his head injury. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was notified of the accident.

A construction worker was seriously injured in Grafton, Massachusetts on Tuesday after he fell from a ledge while working on a construction site.
The 55-year-old man was working on a high school campus at 9 a.m. He was standing on a second-story ledge when he accidentally fell. He was severely injured in the fall and immediately taken to the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is currently investigating the accident in order to determine what caused the man to fall from the ledge. The man is currently in the hospital in critical condition.
